Listen closely, can you hear the frogs? Lets dig into the many different ways animals can hear. Snakes might not hear your talk…but they are sensing vibrations through their jaws. Lizards have large ear holes and frogs have tympanums for hearing. Explorers will be in the exhibit studying different ear features, in the classroom exploring specific animals, and getting better acquainted with the mysteries of SOUND in the animal kingdom.
Burpee Museum is currently features the special exhibit, of live reptiles and amphibians and is home to many exquisite specimens of living amphibians and reptiles. Students have the opportunity to be in the exhibit and examine special items form permanent collections.
Classes are o the 2nd Saturdays @ 1-2:30
For ages 6 and UP. Adult participation is encouraged but not required.
