LOVE is in the air…is it in the HEART? Let’s take a look. From human heart to the heart of a frog, turtle or even a cow…what do you find? Let’s investigate the hearts of various the animal kingdom. What makes them special? How are hearts of amphibians and reptiles differs from mammals? Dissect a pig heart with students from University of Illinois medical students.
Burpee Museum is currently features the special exhibit, of live reptiles and amphibians and is home to many exquisite specimens of living amphibians and reptiles. Students have the opportunity to be in the exhibit and examine special items form permanent collections.
Classes are o the 2nd Saturdays @ 1-2:30
For ages 6 and UP. Adult participation is encouraged but not required.
