BURPEE MUSEUM AWARDED AAM EXCELLENCE IN
EXHIBITIONS AWARD
APRIL 27, 2006: This year's American Association of Museums' Annual
Meeting was eventful for Burpee Museum. The meeting is the world’s largest
gathering of museum professionals and also serves as a forum to announce the
winners of AAM's Excellence in Exhibition Competition. This competition
recognizes outstanding achievement in exhibits from museums, zoos,
aquariums, and botanical gardens across the country. Four awards are given:
two winners and two honorable mentions. Exhibits are not separated by
budget, size, or topic—small museums compete shoulder to shoulder with large
museums. This being said, Burpee is thrilled to announce that "Jane: Diary
of a Dinosaur" was selected by the judges as a winner of the 2006 Excellence
