Animal Hour

Discover the wonderful world of animals in this hands-on, interactive workshop.  Learn about Burpee Museum's Living Collection and get up close to the animals!  Great for families, and the programs fall on dates the kids will have off of school! 

Only $2/person with admission 

Programs include:
January 3 (11am-12pm): Animals in Water
January 19 (11am-12pm): Animal Camouflage
February 6 (1-2pm): Leaping Lizards
February 16  (11am-12pm): Slithering Snakes
April 2 (11am-12pm): Animals after Dark

Burpee Explorers

Hands-on workshops for children and adults working together to explore science! Pre-registration and pre-payment are required. Cost is $20/child. Registration fees cover one child and one adult. 

Maximum of two children per adult. 

Programs are on Saturdays from 1-2:30pm:

January 24: The Flight of the Passenger Pigeon 

February 7: Heart of Reptiles

March 21: Lizard Legs

April 11: Breathing the Air of Giants

May 9: Little Giants

Behind the Brew: Burpee Museum's New Tasting Series

Learn all about your favorite brew!  Whether your drink of choice is coffee, tea, or beer, you do not want to miss this event series!*

Behind the Brew explores things you may not know about popular brewed beverages, like their natural history, anthropological significance, and how they are made.  

Of course, each session includes a tasting, so come out and enjoy the fun!
