Can't bring your class to the Museum? Bring the Museum to your class! Teacher boxes are available for pickup at the Museum and most contain items that can be touched.
Fee: $10.00 for non-members and $5.00 for members. The boxes and specimens may be kept for one week.

I.D.N.R. Resource Trunks
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources has partnered with Burpee to offer a convenient pick up/ drop off location in downtown Rockford. Trunks are free to Educators in Illinois and can be kept for up to one week. The following trunks are available: Aquatic Illinois, Illinois Birds, Illinois Fossils, Illinois Mammals, Insects & Spiders of Illinois, Invasive Species, Nature Back Pack, People & Animals of Illinois' Past, Illinois Prairies, Illinois State Symbols, Illinois Trees.
Virtual Field Trips
A new and exciting learning opportunity for students and educators worldwide! Distance is no problem! If you're too far from the museum for an actual field trip, you can schedule a live virtual field trip for your class via video conferencing. One of our expert staff will interact with your students as they view unique items from our collections and incredible exhibits within the museum.
