Monday–Friday: 10 am– 4 pm
Saturday: 10am - 5 pm

Dean Olson Prep Lab now open on museum lower floor.  Watch fossil preparators working on Homer and explore the Triceratops exhibit!

“Night at the (Burpee) Museum” Sleepover
For ages 6 and up, one adult required for every 3 children
Come and join the fun of a “night at the museum”!  We provide activities, a snack and movie at bedtime, and a light breakfast; you bring your PJ’s, toothbrush, pillow and sleeping bag.  Pre-registration and payment is required. Call Education Department 815 965 3433 ext 1020 to register. Fees: $25 per person

School Age Camp – Paleo Explorers

for 9 – 12 year olds
Take a journey through time to discover the Earth of the past.  We’ll use fossils to guide us and discover lots of fantastic creatures along the way.  Pre-registration and payment is required. Call Education Department 815 965 3433 ext 1020 to register

Burpee’s BONE Soiree –
Good Evening from Jane & Homer
6pm-midnight
Burpee annual fundraising event. Enjoy this unique summer bash on the lawn of the Burpee Museum. $85 per person.  Live band, outdoor dining, dancing, auctions and much more with many new additions for this year! Tickets on sale in early June.

Saturday & Sunday, September 27-28
EarthFest

Burpee’s Goes Green with our first annual EarthFest. Talks and lectures on the “hottest” earth-friendly topics.  Interactive family workshops, vendor fair, live music. Open to the public. More details available soon!
