Green Days
Become part of Burpee's Green Team! Join Burpee staff and
volunteers on the fourth Saturday of every month from 8:00 am–12:00 noon.
Feel free to drop by to check it out or stay for the whole time. We'll
work on projects like maintaining the riverbank, planting and weeding,
mulching, tending to the compost, worm bin, brush fence, and more!
Here's our tentative schedule for this
season:
June 24: weed all beds,
make/install plant ID tags, turn compost
July 22: build rock wall,
clean up riverbanks, build fish lunkers, turn compost
August 26: plant, mulch, turn
compost
September 23: walk property;
pick up sticks, branches, and trash; turn compost
