Here is a class with actual hands-on experience in paleontology. Learn what Burpee is doing at its dig sites and the background basics which a paleontologist needs to know. Spend some time in Burpee’s prep lab and work with a variety of tools to prepare a fossil. For 9 – 12 year olds |

What was it? What did it look like? How did it live? These are some of the mysteries fossils bring. Let’s explore their stories and find the answers. If you have any fossils you can bring them and we’ll figure out what they are – you might even get some new ones to add to your collection. For 9 – 12 year olds |

Where have all the dinosaurs gone? Explore the disappearance of dinosaurs. Get up close to Archaeopteryx and other feathered creatures of the Cretaceous, and build your own specimen.

Here’s a wonderful opportunity to meet, and learn about, the
Museum’s live animals as you spend the afternoon feeding and caring for them. The animals include an assortment of reptiles, a tarantula, a salamander, some hissing cockroaches, and fish.
