Fishy Finds in a Turbulent Time: New discoveries of early Mesozoic fossil fishes in the southwestern United States
Dr. Sarah Z. Gibson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Atmospheric and Hydrologic Sciences at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. Her research explores the morphology, evolutionary history, and trophic ecology of early Mesozoic ray-finned fishes. Her work is both in the field and in the lab; she has actively collected fishes and other fossils from sites in southern Utah, and has worked at several institutions including the Field Museum. Sarah is also an active science communicator, and currently serves as a blog editor for the PLOS Paleontology Community blog.
